This was one of many governmental legislation passed in light of Rachel Carson’s book. This act regarded the use of pesticides this was the main focus of Rachel’s book. This is a useful source in my research because it gives insight on how the government reacted to her book. It is also fascinating that a book got the reaction from the government, this also gives me insight about the reform that happened in the American government regarding the environmental.

This is an address from Senator Gaylord Nelson after a statewide ban on DDT. Senator Gaylord was very pleased by the ban, this is good to use because it gives be information on the reaction of the book and the reform but also the reaction from reform. This is also what Rachel Carson wanted to achieve with her boo, she wanted DDT banned fro use in the United States because it was harmful.

This is an airplane dusting a farm; the airplane is using DDT to get rid of insect on the farm. This is what led to the accidental killing of wild life animals in that area. This is what sparked a reaction in Rachel Carson who wrote the book dedicated to telling America about the harms of DDT.

The source gives a run down of the whole book. It gives a chapter by chapter summary and analyst. This source is very useful, it really breaks down the parts of the book that will be very useful for writing the research paper. When you don’t have time to read the whole book, you can look at summaries of chapters to get a feel for how it was written. It is a great references for the actual book, if I needed information about a certain topic I could look at the summaries find the general location of the information I needed and then got to the book to read the specific parts I needed.
